YOUR PRIVACY & DATA OPT-OUT RIGHTS

The Short Version: We don't sell boxes of your personal info out of the back of a van. However, because our website uses cookies, tracking pixels, and analytics to show you relevant truck gear ads across the internet instead of stuff you don't care about, certain state legal codes classify that as "selling," "sharing," or "targeted advertising."

HOW THIS WORKS (AND HOW TO OPT OUT)

  1. What We Collect: When you hang out on our site, cookies and tracking tags collect basic browser interactions. We pass some of that info to advertising partners (like Google, Facebook, or Shopify) so they know to show you truck accessories rather than knitting supplies when you're browsing other sites.

  2. Your Right to Say No: State privacy regulations let you opt out of having your site interactions used for targeted advertising or data sharing.

  3. Global Privacy Control (GPC): If your web browser uses the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, our site automatically detects it. We treat that signal as an automatic, non-negotiable request to shut off targeted ad sharing and data sales for that device and browser—no clicking required.

WANT TO OPT OUT MANUALLY?

If you aren't using GPC and want to opt out manually:

  • Step 1: Click the "Cookie Preferences" or "Do Not Sell/Share My Info" toggle/button at the bottom of our site.

  • Step 2: Switch off "Targeting / Advertising Cookies" and hit Save.

  • Step 3: To submit a formal opt-out request for your customer account or email address, drop us a line at privacy@truckguy.pro with the subject line "Data Opt-Out Request." Include your name and email so we know who to update.
